On the 3d of December 2020, at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia, within the framework of participation in the First Eurasian Congress, Aidar Kazybayev, CEO of the AIFC Green Finance Centre and Oleg Rezanovich, founder of the Belarusian IT and media company RublevMediaGroup, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Partnership on the Creation of “Green Yurt”– centre of acceleration of green start-ups (hereinafter – Centre) in Kazakhstan.
The terms of the Memorandum provide cooperation in implementation and launch of green projects and start-ups within the Centre. The Centre, one of whose missions is the implementation of environmental projects, will be registered at the “Astana” International Financial Centre. The first project of the Centre will be the startup "Green Yurt farm" which plans to produce micro-greens and equipment for its cultivation. The project also includes the creation of an urban farmer's school as part of eco-education.
The signed Memorandum will allow the Parties to carry out joint activities on the development of the green and social market, as well as the creation of innovative solutions in favor of the environment of Kazakhstan.

The Astana International Financial Centra was created by the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Leader of the Nation, Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev as part of the “100 steps to implement five institutional reforms” national program. The Centre’s development strategy until 2025 was approved by the Management council of the AIFC during the council’s meeting on July 2, 2020. In accordance with the strategy, the vision of AIFC is in becoming the leading financial centre in the region that includes Central Asia, the Caucasus, EAEU countries, western China, Mongolia, and Eastern Europe.
The mission of the AIFC is in assisting the sustainable and long term development of the region. As the head of state Tokayev noted, “AIFC, with its unique opportunities, can act as a universal platform that connects the countries in the region.”
